More about Plans Be a Friend of Hamilton
Why bother? Hamilton Trust is a small educational charity. We have spent over £1,000,000 developing free adaptable plans and materials with the single aim of supporting quality teaching and saving teacher-time. Despite a common misapprehension, this work has never been funded by the government. For over two years we tried hard to get funding from charities, businesses, and DfES, to enable us to continue to run this site – which is used by over one third of the teachers in the country. Most funders decline to finance an existing initiative, and many can’t believe that something making such a large and vital contribution to teachers' workload is not government-funded, while the government thinks - well, we haven’t quite fathomed out what they think yet!
The solution! If every teacher using the plans or any other materials donates a modest £12 (this is just £1 a month!) we will be able to continue to provide the support people have come to appreciate. Without YOUR support (or a government U-turn) we will not be able to continue to sustain this site indefinitely.
Benefits galore! A small number of plans is provided free, but becoming a Friend of Hamilton by donating the £12 will enable you to access the full choice of Literacy New Framework Units and old Weekly Plans provided by Mix’n’Match for a chosen age-range (KS1, lower KS2 or upper KS2), bundle plans for ease of downloading, create and access your own plan-bank and obtain all the accompanying resources, including Code-Breakers. In addition, we have provided all Friends of Hamilton with free unlimited access to our Materials Section which will save hours of time and energy! Please click here to donate.
IMPORTANT - Schools can purchase a CAT PACK (Complete Access for Teachers) which enables all the teachers in the school to have free 'Friend of Hamilton' teacher enrolments (up to a maximum of 30). These give complete access to all the Mix'n'Match plans and resources, Hamilton Topics and the useful Materials Section! This includes Code-Breakers, Animated Tales, Homework activities for Years 1-6 and much more! See SCHOOLS section for details.
